Adult Orthodontics

Braces work the same for all ages.

Many people believe that orthodontic treatment is only for children and teenagers, but that is simply not the case. Approximately one quarter of our practice is comprised of adults. Adult treatment can be more complicated with missing teeth, periodontal disease, and significant wear being more prominent in this age group, but it can be more beneficial for the same reasons. There are many situations where the restorative dentist needs the teeth positioned differently or the bite changed to allow for crowns, bridges, or implants to be placed with optimal results. We work closely with your dentist to give you the best results possible. Invisalign may be an option for adults whose smiles only require minimal adjustments.

Greetings!

As there have been significant improvements in the rates of COVID-19 infection and increases in the vaccinated population, we are now welcoming our patients and parents into our waiting rooms.  There is no need to call us when you arrive.  The wearing of facecoverings will be optional for our patients and their families, although our staff will be continuing to wear masks when in close proximity to others. We continue to take precautions for prevention of spreading COVID-19.  We remain vigilant with our sterilization and disinfection protocols and we will continue taking additional precautionary measures as well.  We still ask that you reschedule your appointments if the patient has been symptomatic in the last ten days or has been recently exposed to someone known to be infected with COVID-19.

We will continue utilizing only half of our operatories to maintain significant distance between patients.  We ask that all of our patients thoroughly brush their teeth prior to their appointments to limit the use of our toothbrushing area.  As always, we will continue to be committed to giving each of our patients the best experience possible!

Thank you for your understanding!
