Adult Orthodontics

Braces work the same for all ages.

Many people believe that orthodontic treatment is only for children and teenagers, but that is simply not the case. Approximately one quarter of our practice is comprised of adults. Adult treatment can be more complicated with missing teeth, periodontal disease, and significant wear being more prominent in this age group, but it can be more beneficial for the same reasons. There are many situations where the restorative dentist needs the teeth positioned differently or the bite changed to allow for crowns, bridges, or implants to be placed with optimal results. We work closely with your dentist to give you the best results possible. Invisalign may be an option for adults whose smiles only require minimal adjustments.

Greetings!

The health and safety of our patients, their families, and the community remain our primary focus. We continue to take as many precautions as possible for prevention of spreading COVID-19. We remain vigilant with our sterilization and disinfection protocols and we will continue taking additional precautionary measures as well. We are discontinuing temperature checks however, as they have been deemed to be ineffective screening tools. We still ask that you reschedule appointments if the patient has been symptomatic in the last ten days or has been recently exposed to someone known to be infected with COVID-19.

To limit the traffic in our building, we will continue using a “parking lot waiting area”, but will welcome those who would prefer our waiting room due to the summer heat. We will have a staff member come out to each vehicle to greet you and check the patient in. Please call the office if you are not promptly greeted. We still ask that anyone entering the office wear a mask, even if fully vaccinated. We will not be able to check vaccination status of patients and family members. We would be happy to provide masks for anyone in need.

We will continue utilizing only half of our operatories to maintain significant distance between patients. We ask that all of our patients please thoroughly brush their teeth prior to their appointments to limit use of our toothbrushing area. As always, we will continue to be committed to giving each of our patients the best experience possible!

Thank you for your understanding and we hope to return to some sense of normalcy soon!
